Filter cartridges

We make wound filter cartridges with polypropylene fibre wound onto a hollow polypropylene core. Depth filtration captures contaminants in the range of 0.5 to 100 µm — from fine polishing of drinking water to pre-filtration of industrial liquids. Applications cover water treatment, the chemical industry, the food industry and process liquids in production lines

Depth filtration

Winding PP fibre creates a progressively denser filter layer in the hollow cartridge — from the surface inwards. Contaminants are captured throughout the whole volume, not just on the surface. The result: high holding capacity and a longer life between changes.

Range from 0.5 to 100 µm

On the same production line we cover everything from very fine filtration (0.5 µm — sub-micron particles) to coarse pre-filtration (up to 100 µm). We tune the winding density precisely to your application.

PP materials

Polypropylene resists common chemicals, does not corrode and withstands operating temperatures up to 90 °C. It is also suitable for drinking water and food operations. No adhesives, no additives — just PP fibre and a PP core.

Water, chemicals, food, processes

Polishing of drinking and process water, pre-filtration of industrial liquids (coolants, washing baths), filtration of chemicals, cleaning of process liquids in food production. For every application we recommend the right fineness grade.

Standard and custom lengths

As standard we make 10" (250 mm) and 20" (500 mm) lengths for common filter housings. Custom lengths and diameters are made to order — send us the dimensions of your housing or an old cartridge as a sample.

Which materials do we use to make filter cartridges?

Most commonly we wind polypropylene fibre onto a polypropylene core. PP is chemically resistant, suitable for drinking water and the food industry, and withstands up to 90 °C — covering most industrial applications without the need for special materials.

How can the permeability of filter cartridges be influenced?

By the density and pattern of the winding. Looser winding = coarser filtration (up to 100 µm), denser winding = finer (down to 0.5 µm). The customer gives us the required fineness grade and we set the parameters of the winding machine.

What are the strengths of our PP cartridges?

Corrosion resistance, broad chemical resistance (acids, alkalis, most solvents) and temperature resistance up to 90 °C. Suitable for drinking water and food applications without the need to certify special materials.
